Scientific Advisory Board

Andrej Bartke Andrzej Bartke, PhD, Co-chairman

Dr. Bartke is Director of Southern Illinois University Aging & Longevity Research Laboratory, and holds the Mprize for the world's oldest mouse. When he isn't lecturing around the world, he and his team of laboratory scientists work to gather research on the effects of growth hormones and caloric restriction on aging. In 2009 he was awarded a $8 million National Institutes of Health grant to study the effects of growth hormone on aging and longevity.

Craig Cooney Craig A. Cooney, PhD, Co-chairman

Dr. Cooney is a renowned epigenetic expert and Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Craig studies the role of DNA methylation and epigenetics on health, cancer development and lifespan of mammals. Epigenetics can be changed by drugs and nutrients in foods and supplements. Epigenetics strongly affect cell differentiation and cancer development. His cancer studies address how specific genes are modified compared to normal tissues to improve the prevention, treatment and diagnosis of cancer.
